I can remember (approximately) when i learned this- it was like kindergarten - maybe even before (i had good parents :). the question is - when did this go "out of style"? For me - it went out a bit when I was in high school - but then it came back after I graduated from college. I don't really know why or how it came back to me as a super important thing - but I am so glad that i re-adopted this motto. Sharing makes a huge difference - it helps everyone - not least the individual doing the sharing.
